Postby dibj1 » Wed May 02, 2012 8:54 pm

Hi,

When I try to visualize a 3d overlay, uploaded by me, with the phone, it appers with black lines. Like this: http://bit.ly/JOcKQb What could be the cause?

I haven't seen this before! For us to figure out what's happening, please let us know which Aura it is so we can check it out on our system. You can let us know by posting a share link to your Aura, the name of your channel, or tell us your Dev Studio username, and which overlay/aura it is. If you'd rather not post that info on the forum, please email support@aurasma.com

Also, please let us know which device you are using, and if possible, which version of Aurasma you are running.

Regards,

Ed

You're seeing an interference/sampling effect because the periodicity of your stripes on the screen is similar to smaller than the separation between pixels.
Looking to your uv co-ordinates for your mesh, you're using uv co-ords ranging from about -60 to +120. This corresponds to your texture being tiled 180 times, which will result in very fine lines.
To fix this, either use a texture with fewer stripes, or scale down the uv co-ordinates.
